Black and white. {sceneries}

There's something very special about black and white. It can transform a something simple into something beautiful. There are so many wonderful  photographers out there whose main focus is black and white, and their photos are breathtaking. Whenever I take a look them, they inspire me greatly.
Flipping back through my pictures, I took some and turned them into black and white. I focused mainly on sceneries; many of them which were taken in the beautiful European world last summer.

Favorite 2010 shots

Since the year is over, I thought about writing a post including some of my favorite pictures taken in the year 2010. I have lots of favorites, but I had to narrow them down to these 15 shots. And just to let you know, they are not shown in a specific "liking" order. These are just my favorite fifteen.
Here we go!

That's about it! As to photography, this year I was really pleased with my progress. I hope next year I can keep it up, and try to still improve and work on more skills. I hope to learn more about how photography and cameras actually work, and I hope to have lots of more chances to shoot special events.
Do you have any 2010 favorite shot(s)? Please do share! (you can leave your picture link in a comment;)
Happy New year! I hope it goes wonderful!
God bless.

Roads, apples, and sweet flowers

As to an end, this is probably the last blog post from my trip to Europe. My friend and I had a really fun photoshoot like 2 days before we left, and it was really fun. We decided to take a walk, and bring a camera. So we found really pretty backgrounds for our pictures. It was splendid! It was nice to have a day where both of us could talk, laugh, and enjoy the sunshine. Here are a few pictures from our shoot. I hope you enjoy them!

I miss you, dear sweet friend :)

Happy Sunday!

Field Walks

There is nothing like walking in fields in a cool evening, when the sun is about to go in, and it shines on top of the grass. A ray of pure golden light. We went for lots of field walks in Belgium, and it was one of the most amazing things. I personally love nature, and everything in it; but fields have to be one of my favorite things. Fields are gorgeous, they are wide open spaces... it's like they never end. It feels like you have the whole world for yourself. Green and yellow surrounds you everywhere you look. And I just love walking under a colorful sky invaded with clouds, and listening to the sound of the wind, and the laughter of wonderful friends next to you. It is a beautiful way to enjoy the last bit of light in the day, and sit on top of a hay bail to watch the sun go down. I took some pictures on our field walks, and I would like to share them in this post.

Don't you just, love the world?

A home in Belgium

We have some friends, really close friends who live in Belgium. They are just a beautiful family, and we love them very much. They are Christian, loving, caring, fun... Just perfect. This summer, they invited us to go to their house. Although we also went to Paris and Germany with them, we stayed for a few weeks with them, too. It was amazing. I'm never going to forget all the fun things we did together! Like play music, play soccer, talk about movies, make pizza, go for runs, go for long walks in the fields, take pictures, make brownies, read the Bible... Everything was just incredible. We are so thankful with God for letting us have this family as our friends! It is hard to find friends like them. But we are blessed to know them and to be able to spend time with them, because every time we see each other, it is like we feel the love being shared by both our families.
This is happiness.
Here are some pictures:

My dear friends, thank you so much for welcoming us in your home. We built long-lasting memories. We love you!
